App Store information

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Don't Starve Companion handles information on the public website and optional web services.

Native app policy

The local-first iOS and iPadOS app has a dedicated Mobile App Privacy Policy that does not attribute website accounts, analytics, or Live Game services to the native binary.

Website information you provide

You can use the public game catalog, guides, simulator, and planner without creating an account. If you choose to sign in to optional website companion services, the authentication provider may process your email address, account identifier, and profile details needed to operate the account.

Website favorites, groups, preferences, and planner layouts can be kept in browser storage. They are sent to a companion service only when an online feature clearly tells you that it synchronizes them.

Local website features

Browser storage can keep website preferences and companion state on your device. Clearing site data or using browser privacy controls can remove or limit that local state.

If you use the website's optional local live-game bridge, live state is exchanged with the address you configure. Do not expose that bridge to the public internet. The project does not receive that local session data unless a separate online feature clearly tells you otherwise.

Website analytics and service providers

The website uses Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate site usage and reliability. Hosting providers receive routine technical information such as request metadata needed to serve and protect the site. Optional account and synchronization features may use Supabase for authentication and storage.

This project does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not sell personal information. The native app's separate policy explains Apple frameworks and private iCloud storage without attributing website providers to the app.

Retention, deletion, and choices

Browser data remains until you clear it through the website or browser. Service-backed account data is retained while needed to provide the service, meet security obligations, and resolve disputes.

To request access to or deletion of service-backed website data, use the support page. Do not post private account details in a public issue; begin with a general request so a private follow-up can be arranged.

Children and changes

The companion is a general-audience reference tool and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact support so it can be reviewed and removed.

This policy may change when features or providers change. The date below will be updated, and material changes will be described on this page before they take effect when practical.

Contact

Questions, privacy requests, and deletion requests can be started on the public support page, or sent privately to info@fzachopoulos.com.
